The November Awards and Competitions
The Bowmen of Danesfield have plenty to celebrate this November with remarkable achievements. New club records were set in style, competition results brought home titles and high rankings, and archers of all ages smashed personal goals.
From standout performances at the SCAA Indoor Championships to impressive showings in the Virtual Archery League, it’s been a month of determination, precision, and triumph. Whether it’s a seasoned archer setting the bar higher or a young talent making their mark, November was filled with moments that inspired and challenged us all to aim even higher.

SCAA Indoor Champs
Several club members participated in the annual SCAA Indoor Championships at Hutton Moor, Weston Super Mare, in early November.
The final results showed that there were three notable achievements.
Finley Frith: Men Under 14 Indoor Barebow – 1st Place and County Champion
Charlotte Bailey: Women Indoor Barebow – 2nd Place
Sarah-Louise Darwin: Women Indoor Recurve – 3rd place
252 Improvement Awards
In November there were two acheivments in the 252 Improvement competoion
Elaine Foster – 252-30 yards Barebow
Sarah-Louise Darwin – 252-30 yards Recurve

November saw some notable achievements in Portsmouth awards.

Portsmouth VAL Competition
The club participates in a virtual archery competition (VAL) each Year. This international competition takes place during the winter season of Portsmouth round submissions.
Currently, several members are doing well in their respective divisions, as you are only competing with those in your division, and awards are 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each division.
