August Awards and Competitions
This month, our archers set an incredible 20 new club records! These achievements show our members’ dedication and hard work, proving that anything is possible with determination.
Adrian Sharp set new records in the Men 50+ category, including a score of 514 in the Western 40 Barebow and 526 in the Bristol I Recurve.
Courtenay Welsh also made his mark with multiple Longbow records, including a score of 440 in the Bristol II and 395 in the Metric II.
Sarah-Louise Darwin had an outstanding month in the Women’s Recurve division, setting records with scores of 648 in the Western 50 and 772 in the Western 40.
Kevin King set a new record in the Windsor 40 Recurve with a score of 900 in the Men 50+ category.
We also saw great achievements in the 252 Awards, with Harry Simpson, Mark Amey, and Philip Churchill earning their 252 awards at different distances.
In the Club Handicap Competitions, Sarah-Louise Darwin took first place in both the Western 50 and Western 40 Handicap events.
These accomplishments inspire us all, showing that with focus and effort, we can all achieve great things. Let’s keep up the great work and see what we can achieve next month!
