The June Awards and Competitions
This month, the Bowmen of Danesfield are celebrating incredible performances from our archers. Courtenay Welsh, Philip Churchill, Sarah-Louise Darwin, and Adrian Sharp have set new club records and achieved outstanding competition results, showcasing their skill and dedication.
Philip Churchill led the way with record-breaking scores, including an impressive 727 in the Windsor 50 Barebow and 682 in the Windsor Barebow events. He also secured first place in the Windsor and Windsor 50 Handicap competitions.
Courtenay Welsh shone in the Short Windsor Longbow, scoring 528, and achieved a fantastic 172 in the 252 – 50 yards Longbow. Sarah-Louise Darwin also broke records, scoring 179 in the Vegas 300 Triple Face Recurve and 316 in the 252 – 20 yards Recurve while taking first place in the Windsor 40 Handicap with a brilliant 737 points.
Adrian Sharp added to the success with a strong 678 in the Windsor 50 Recurve and several top-three competitive finishes.
This month also saw new milestones in the 252 Awards, with achievements by Courtenay, Philip, Sarah-Louise, and Ivan Sowden Sr.
It’s inspiring to see so many records broken; there’s more to achieve!
