The October Awards and Competitions
October has been an exciting month for the Bowmen of Danesfield, with outstanding achievements across our 252 Awards, Winter Handicap Competitions, and SCAA Postal events.
Highlights include tremendous personal performances and strong team rankings in the Postal competitions.

As the indoor season is ramping up, we are seeing great results in their Portsmouth scores, particularly from our new archers.

The SCAA Postal Portsmouth
It’s October, and this year’s SCAA Portsmouth Postal Competition is underway. Four of our teams are participating and are off to a flying start.
We are currently in 3rd,12th, 19th and 24th place.
Charlotte Bailey is the top scorer in the Women’s Barebow, and Finley Frith is the Top Scorer in the U12 Barebow.
In team A, Finley Frith tops the team with an adjusted score of 595, followed by Charlotte Bailey at 590, Courteney Welsh at 586, and Philip Churchill at 575.
In team B, Kevin King tops the team with an adjusted score of 572, followed by Trampas Brown at 571, Sarah-Louise Darwin at 570, and Nick Heckscher at 555.
In Team C, Linda Sharp tops the team with an adjusted score of 554, followed by Corey Darwin at 553, Steve Robertson at 551, and William Wilson-North at 550.
In Team D, Andy Izard tops the team with an adjusted score of 537, followed by Ian Bailey with a score of 537, Roland Dunkley at 530, and Barry Iles at 522.
The SCAA Postal Frostbite
We have managed to have two teams in the SCAA Postal Frostbite competition this year and are currently in 10th and 21st place.
Charlotte Bailey is the top Women’s Barebow.
In team A, Courtenay Welsh tops the team with an adjusted score of 330, followed by Charlotte Bailey at 326, Nick Heckscher at 317, and Ian Bailey at 312.
In team B, Sarah-Louise Darwin tops the team with an adjusted score of 310, followed by Philip Churchill at 305, Roland Dunkley at 289, and Adrian Sharp at 262.
